Que sera sera......

Hey there, Bloggers!

I hope this post finds you all in a good place.

Life is a little............... interesting...... for us at the moment.

I have my interview this Friday. And I have decided to take Jacqui's advice and wear some lucky yellow undies. That should help.......
And as well on Friday, I have the Dementia education seminar..... busy.....

But before I get that far, there is something that I really need your help with.

Beloved's dad, Poppy Don, is due to have surgery tomorrow at the John Hunter Hospital. It's a very risky procedure. So risky that Poppy Don's surgeon won't do it. But Poppy Don's had enough. Enough pain. Enough discomfort. Enough of not being able to do what he wants to do. What he chooses to do.
That's not to say that he has enough of living. Because that's the point. He can't live the life that he wants. And if the surgery is successful, then maybe he can. And Poppy Don is a big boy now. He turned 80 not so long ago.

So please everyone, help us with some positive thoughts, prayers and wishes.
Because like Celine Dion's song, we want Poppy Don's heart to go on. We are just not ready to say goodbye just yet. And neither is Poppy Don. He won't see anyone tomorrow. Not even his beautiful wife. But we will all be around, very close by, just in case.

So, I will be in the Newcastle locale until Friday evening. folks.

While we wait.

But as Poppy Don says... "what will be, will be...."

"Que sera sera, whatever will be, will be. The future's not ours to see, Que sera, sera......"

My heartfelt thanks, Bloggers.

I'll keep you posted.

Best to Poppy Don! My own rather spry-for-his-age grandpa had an abdominal aorta aneurysm repair at age 80. And he's just dandy now at 86. I'll be thinking about you!
